Antoine Semenyo responds to Dean Huijsen message amid Tottenham developments
Antoine Semenyo has responded to a message from Dean Huijsen amid the news that the forward could follow the Spain international out the Bournemouth exit door.
Huijsen shone in the Premier League after joining the Cherries from Juventus last summer, and subsequently joined Real Madrid.
Bournemouth enjoyed a successful 2024/25 top-flight season, landing a top-half spot for the first time since winning promotion from the Championship in 2022.
While Huijsen provided solidity at the back for the Cherries, Semenyo boasted a real threat in attack last term, notching 11 goals and five assists in the Premier League.

Bournemouth star Semenyo responds to Huijsen’s social media post amid transfer interest
The Ghana international has established himself as a real asset in the Premier League since joining Bournemouth from Bristol City in 2023.
Meanwhile, Semenyo’s former Cherries teammate Huijsen posted a photo on Instagram [10 June] captioned: “Hala Madrid!”
Semenyo commented: “Madness” alongside a fire emoji.
Meanwhile, former Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Tottenham will accelerate their interest in Semenyo.
Semenyo could be a top signing for Tottenham
After losing Huijsen to Madrid, Bournemouth would be gutted to part company with Semenyo, who has been a reliable goal scorer for Andoni Iraola’s men in the Premier League.

But as Tottenham close in on Thomas Frank, the prospective Spurs boss will want to move quickly in the transfer market after replacing Ange Postecoglou.
The North London club’s Europa League triumph means that Frank will have to cope with the challenge of Champions League football in his first season in the Tottenham dugout.
But the potential acquisition of Semenyo could help the Brentford boss adjust to life at Spurs, as he could score more goals when lining up alongside the likes of James Maddison and Dominic Solanke.
Despite Tottenham’s Champions League status, their main priority next term is to fare far better in the Premier League than their 17th-place finish in 2024/25.
Meanwhile, former Spurs scout Bryan King exclusively told Tottenham News that Bournemouth could demand £65million for Semenyo.
