Bournemouth confirm David Brooks contract extension
Bournemouth have confirmed that David Brooks has signed a new deal at the club until 2029.
The club’s official account posted the news on Instagram, which saw support from his teammates such as Antoine Semenyo, Petrovic and Tavernier, who all liked the message.
Crystal Palace were linked with a move for Brooks as they aimed to bring in multiple replacements for Eberechi Eze, but the Cherries were determined to keep hold of the winger despite the summer exodus.
He has battled numerous health and injury concerns over the years, but has re-established himself as a key figure under Iraola.
Last term, he featured 33 times in all competitions and has started in all three games in the Premier League this season.
Bournemouth fans reacted in excitement after Brooks’ new deal was announced, following speculation surrounding his future in the summer and putting the rumours to bed.

David Brooks ready for Brighton challenge after stats revealed
Brooks’ new deal will be a major boost for Bournemouth ahead of their clash with Brighton on 13 September, particularly given his own record.
Brooks holds a fantastic goal tally against Brighton, as he has scored four times whilst providing one assist – his joint-best return against any club, alongside Birmingham.
With that in mind, another goal or assist would be the perfect way to celebrate his new announcement at the Vitality Stadium and underline his importance to Iraola’s side.
