Antoine Semenyo responds after confirmed Bournemouth player exit news

Bournemouth players such as Antoine Semenyo were quick to react after the club announced another exit.

Bournemouth have had an up-and-down start to the season with two wins in the Premier League, but they also faced an early exit from the Carabao Cup.

There have been plenty of changes to the squad after a summer exodus, with Milos Kerkez leaving to join Liverpool, Dango Ouattara joining Brentford and Illia Zabarnyi signing for PSG.

In turn, several new arrivals have also arrived as Alex Jimenez signed on deadline day, Ben Doak completed a move from Liverpool and Bafode Diakite, who became the club’s second-most expensive signing.

While the English transfer window has already closed, the Greek transfer window closes on 12 September, and the Cherries have announced a player’s departure as one player heads to Greece.

Zain Silcott-Duberry completes a transfer to Olympiacos

Bournemouth confirmed on Instagram that Zain Silcott-Duberry has completed a permanent transfer to Greek giants Olympiacos.

His former teammates shared support on the announcement, with Semenyo, Adrien Truffert and Justin Kluivert all liking the post.

The 20-year-old had joined the Cherries back in January from Chelsea, but has already left the club on a permanent departure.

Opportunities under Iraola were limited, as he featured just twice. Both were late substitutions, with one against Nottingham Forest and the other against Everton in the FA Cup.

The versatile winger had been a standout in Chelsea’s academy, making 25 appearances for their Under-21s and contributing 4 goals and assists.

Meanwhile, the Cherries have kept busy since the transfer window closed as Bournemouth agreed new deals for James Hill and Marcus Tavernier, while continuing to sanction exits.

Romain Faivre joins Silcott-Duberry in Bournemouth exit

Despite the club seeing numerous exits this summer, it appears they are still trying to cut the squad down.

Romain Faivre is set to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Tawouun on a season-long loan that includes an option to buy in the deal.

Since joining the Cherries from Lyon in 2023, the midfielder has made just six appearances and spent a season on loan at Brest last term. With the Saudi transfer window open until 23 September, his switch looks set to be finalised.
