Antonee Robinson sends ‘do better’ Fulham message after Semenyo tore him apart
Antonee Robinson has taken to social media with a new message after the Fulham defender massively struggled against Bournemouth.
The American international was at the very centre of the Cherries’ opening goal, with the left-back’s slip allowing Antoine Semenyo to steal in behind and slide an effort under Bernd Leno on Monday, 14 April.
Despite the winger scoring the opener after just 53 seconds, it eventually turned out to be the winner at the Vitality Stadium, and it will certainly sting for Robinson, who played a vital role in the narrow loss.
Rodrigo Muniz, Alex Iwobi and Ryan Sessegnon, who was controversially replaced for Fulham, all tried to get the team back into the game, but it was no use against Andoni Iraola’s resolute defence.
The result will have come as a huge blow for Marco Silva‘s side, who are trying to claim a European qualification spot in the Premier League table, hoping to beat Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Brighton.
Antonee Robinson distraught after Fulham defeat
Taking to Instagram stories (15 April), Robinson wrote: “Tough night last night. Only things to do are reflect and aim to do better,” clearly feeling rather sorry for himself following the defeat.

Marco Silva still targeting European football ahead of 2025/26 campaign

The full-back will not need anyone to tell him that his performance was far below expectations, especially when Robinson is being linked with the likes of Liverpool and Man United.
He is just one figure being linked with a Fulham exit, with manager Silva now being tipped to replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham, with the North Londoners really struggling this season.

After another blow to the Cottagers’ European hopes, with the team winning just two of their last five matches, fears continue to grow over Silva’s future at Craven Cottage.
The Portuguese figure is never one to shy away from a challenge, leaving Hull City for Watford in 2017, and that could certainly happen again if Daniel Levy comes knocking for him this summer.
That would just be yet another blow, should Robinson also depart at the end of the season, but both will be incredibly determined to bring European football to Craven Cottage this term.
