Antonio Conte’s actions ‘speak a thousand words’ after journalist’s behind-the-scenes Tottenham reveal – expert
Paul Robinson has heaped praise on Tottenham boss Antonio Conte’s “brilliant” man-management skills after Saturday’s draw at Brentford.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-White Hart Lane number one claimed “no words can speak a thousand” after Conte’s post-match reaction.

According to Football.London‘s Alasdair Gold (24 April), Conte barely spoke to his players in the dressing room after the draw.
When asked for his thoughts on the Spurs boss’ approach, Robinson told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “We knows his man-management tactics are brilliant.
“Quite often no words speak a thousand. If he rants at the players, they almost expect that. When he doesn’t speak to them the players will feel as if they let him down. It’s worse than getting a hammering sometimes.
“The silent treatment says a lot more. It lets them know that they have let you down. Players want the manager to go mad at you and throw things around. The fact he didn’t will have a lot stronger an effect on the players.”

Tottenham are currently fifth and two points behind fourth-placed Arsenal in the Premier League table.
Next up is the visit of Leicester City on Sunday.
