Conte delivers verdict on Tottenham title chances
By Danny Wright
Antonio Conte has admitted that he is wary of Tottenham’s chances of catching Chelsea at the top of the Premier League.
The 47-year-old believes that his side is in a two-horse race with Spurs and added that anything can happen between now and the end of the campaign.
Both teams have eight games to play and there is currently a seven point gap between them after Conte watched his side fall to a surprise loss against Crystal Palace last week.
Tottenham have won five consecutive games and as a result have turned up the pressure on the league leaders.
Chelsea responded by securing a massive three points against Manchester City on Wednesday night while Spurs almost dropped points at Swansea, if it wasn’t for a last minute glut of goals.

The Italian boss has been in a bitter war of words with Mauricio Pochettino this week with the Spurs manager landing the most recent blow by saying that Chelsea will be distraught if they fail to secure their sixth Premier League title.
“This race is open. I think now I can see two teams, Chelsea and Tottenham, in this race. But anything can happen because there are 24 points (to play for) and other rivals can go in this race,” said Conte, as quoted by ESPN.
The two London rivals meet each other at Wembley later this month in an FA Cup semi-final.
Tottenham welcome Watford to White Hart Lane on Saturday while Chelsea make the trip to Bournemouth.
Pochettino will be boosted by the return of Harry Kane but faces a selection headache for the Watford clash thanks to the impressive performances from Son Heung-Min and Vincent Janssen in his absence.
