Antony makes Man United transfer decision after ‘significant’ offer – sources
Man United winger Antony is not interested in a move to Saudi Arabia despite interest from Al-Nassr, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the Brazilian does not want to move to the Middle East and would turn down any advances.
Sources say Man United will consider “significant” offers for Antony this summer as they will look to cash in on players before reinvesting in alternative options.
Any potential deal would see the Red Devils make a loss on their £82million investment after just two years, but they are now willing to cut their losses.
Football Insider revealed on 6 August that Al-Nassr had prioritised a move for the Brazilian after missing out on Raphinha from Barcelona.
Antony turns down Saudi Arabia offer as Man United now willing to sell
Since making the big-money move to Old Trafford from Ajax in 2022, Anthony has failed to live up to the expectations that came with him.
After 82 appearances for Man United, the Brazilian has recorded 11 goals and five assists, picking up just one of each in the Premier League last time out.
As a result, Erik ten Hag is willing to let go of the winger should an appropriate offer arrive, although Antony remains set on staying in the Premier League.
Al-Nassr missed out on the singing of Raphinha and quickly turned their attention to his international teammate as they look to continue the trend of big-money moves.
Antony became the latest big-name target for Saudi Arabian clubs as they attempt to increase the profile and level of the Saudi Pro Leauge.

Several injuries suffered during pre-season, notably to Rasmus Hojlund and a knock to Marcus Rashford, mean United may be forced to call upon Antony in the early stages of the season.
