Armstrong hails Celtic teammate with great technical ability

By Dominic Toner

Stuart Armstrong has highlighted the ability of Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic.

The pair both scored in Saturday’s dramatic 4-3 away win against Motherwell and Rogic grabbed a 90th minute winner.

Brendan Rodgers’ side now have an eight-point gap over second-placed Rangers and also have three games in hand on their Old Firm rivals.

Rogic has been in great form this season for Celtic and Armstrong has revealed how good he is on a daily basis.

“Tom always seems to produce a bit of magic but he has great technical ability,” Armstrong told the Scottish Sun. “We see it every day in training, how good he is with his feet and we’re really thankful to have him in this team.”

Rogic has been a regular feature in Celtic’s midfield this season and formed a good partnership alongside Armstrong and captain Scott Brown.

The 20-year-old has made 23 appearances in all competitions this campaign, scoring 10 goals and supplying three assists.

The Bhoys forward Moussa Dembele has received a lot of attention for his impressive performances, but Rogic has continued to perform at a high standard.

The attacking midfielder moved to Celtic Park in 2013 and has now established himself as an important first-team member.

He will be hoping to help the reigning Scottish champions maintain their unbeaten domestic start for as long as he can, but first they face Manchester City on Tuesday in their final Champions League group stage match, knowing they have already been eliminated from Europe,

In other Celtic news, the club’s supporters reacted on Twitter to Rogic’s performance against Motherwell.
