Armstrong sends Instagram message to Celtic player as loan exit is confirmed

Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong has paid tribute on social media to his team-mate Erik Sviatchenko, who has left the Hoops to rejoin his former club FC Midtjylland on loan until the end of the season.
The Bhoys confirmed the loan move on their official website on Tuesday after weeks of speculation swirled around the Dane’s future in the wake of signing Marvin Compper.
Armstrong said farewell to the Danish centre-back on his personal Instagram account on Tuesday hours after Sviatchenko exited Parkhead on a temporary basis.
“Good luck to the Great Dane. See you soon” he said, as Sviatchenko prepared to leave Glasgow.

Sviatchenko is leaving the Hoops as he tries to break into the Denmark squad for this year’s World Cup in Russia, and he needs some regular game time, which he hasn’t been getting in Glasgow where he has fallen out of first-team contention.
His best moment in the two years he spent with the Hoops was probably the towering header he scored against Rangers in the 2016 Scottish Cup semi-final.
Meanwhile, Armstrong is recovering from a surprise hernia operation which he had in Germany on Monday. The midfielder is set to be out of action for around a month, and faces a race against time to be fit for Celtic’s Europa League last 32 games against Zenit next month.
