‘Arne Slot forced to work Liverpool miracles v PSG’ – Fans meltdown at Gakpo news
Arne Slot will be expected to “work miracles” against Paris Saint-Germain after one Liverpool star was absent from training on Tuesday, according to fans of the club.
The Reds were without Conor Bradley and Joe Gomez for the 2-0 win over Newcastle last time out, with the duo also absent from training while preparing to face PSG on 4 March.
With Slot’s side top of the Premier League table, and 13 points clear of second-place Arsenal, the team’s injury problems have often been overlooked this season, making their campaign all the more impressive.
Liverpool can take an important step towards lifting the Champions League trophy for the second time in six years, though those hopes may have taken a blow after the most recent update from the AXA Training Centre.

Cody Gakpo fears sparked ahead of PSG clash
Taking to X [4 March], journalist David Lynch wrote: “No sign of Cody Gakpo in training ahead of Liverpool’s trip to PSG. Conor Bradley and Joe Gomez not involved, as expected,” alongside an image of the squad gathered in training.
The Dutchman missed back-to-back Premier League games against Wolves and Aston Villa with a slight knock, though concerns have now escalated after he was absent from training.
Slot and his team will be keen to bring back a win to Anfield before the Ligue 1 giants travel for the return leg on 11 March, but that will be made slightly harder if an attacking star is missing.
Arne Slot must continue to work wonders without stars
Mohamed Salah, who is likely to sign a new contract at Liverpool, is still firing on all cylinders, which is the most important news ahead of facing PSG in the Champions League.
While Darwin Nunez has not seen eye-to-eye with Slot in recent weeks, he has the talent and ability to turn it on, and Luis Diaz and Dominik Szoboszlai are both in fine form.
This has not stopped fans from panicking on social media, suggesting that Slot has already been “working miracles” and will have to do the same again, while another simply wrote: “Pain”.
Travelling to the Parc de Prances without Gakpo will certainly not be the ideal situation ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League tie, but the Reds may have no other choice.
