Arne Slot provides Jeremie Frimpong injury update after star was forced off vs Eintracht Frankfurt
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has suffered an injury blow which is creating more issues for the Dutchman.
Right-back Jeremie Frimpong had to be substituted after 19 minutes against Eintracht Frankfurt, as the Reds got back to winning ways with an emphatic 5-1 win.
Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat against Man United had made it four straight defeats in all competitions for Slot’s side.
A 1-0 defeat for Liverpool at Galatasaray last time out in the Champions League had added extra importance to the Frankfurt clash, so the pressure was on the Reds to win.

Arne Slot provides Jeremie Frimpong update
Ryan Gravenberch missed the match with an ankle injury, whilst Slot was already without goalkeeper Alisson for the trip to Germany.
After the match Slot said on Frimpong’s injury: “Jeremie is a hamstring issue. He had to go off.”
Frimpong has already missed matches earlier in the season with a hamstring problem, so the Dutchman could be set for weeks on the sidelines.
Frimpong blow would add to right-back woes
Slot already has a dilemma at right-back with Frimpong’s form and having to use Dominik Szoboszlai in the role on occassions.
Conor Bradley came on in Frankfurt, but the 22-year-old has not been able to cement the position as his own when presented with the opportunity.

With Frimpong’s absence though it may give Bradley an extended run in the team, which could provide some continuity at right-back in the Liverpool defence.
