Bukayo Saka responds to Alex Iwobi’s message pre-Arsenal vs Fulham

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has reacted to Alex Iwobi’s brace in Fulham’s 3-1 win over Brighton on Thursday (December 5) on social media.

Iwobi, 28, scored in the 4th and 87th minutes to secure all three points for Marco Silva’s side, taking them into sixth, four points off the Champions League spots.

The versatile attacker has been integral for Fulham so far this season, starting 14 of his 16 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 1240 minutes of action.

Arsenal will travel to Fulham on Sunday (December 8) as Iwobi prepares to get one over his former club and dent their revitalised title hopes.

Mikel Arteta’s side are back in the Premier League title race after navigating a rocky run of form that saw them drop points in four out of five games earlier in the season.

‘Starboy’ Saka, 23, has been in some of the best form of his short career this season, scoring seven goals and providing 11 assists in his 19 games across all competitions, 18 of which have been starts, yielding a total of 1514 minutes.

Iwobi took to Instagram to celebrate his performance and the win, referencing the “Chill guy” meme in his caption, which Saka promptly liked.

Fulham’s win over Brighton has made them serious contenders for European football, but they will have to get through a tricky festive period that includes games against Liverpool and Chelsea first.

Arsenal have a slightly kinder run of fixtures, playing three of the current bottom five: Everton, Crystal Palace, and Ipswich.
