Arsenal backed to complete Leandro Trossard signing after transfer report – Campbell
Kevin Campbell has backed Arsenal to make a concrete move for Brighton forward Leandro Trossard next year.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker is adamant the 27-year-old would be a “good signing” for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Trossard has entered the final 12 months of his contract with the Seagulls.
However, the club do hold the option of a one-year extension clause in the agreement.
According to the Daily Mail (18 October), Arsenal and Chelsea are admirers of the Belgium international.
Both clubs are said to be in the running for his signature.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live (3 October), Trossard revealed his future “completely depends on which club” comes in for him.
When asked by Football Insider if Trossard would be a welcome addition at the Emirates next year, Campbell said: “I think Trossard would be a good signing.
“I think he would thrive at Arsenal.
“He would be a squad player, one you could rotate in and out of the team and there would be no drop off.
“I think he is a really good player. He is very smart, has good movement and he can finish.
“It would be a smart move in my opinion.”

Trossard has been one of the Premier League’s standout players in the 2022-23 campaign.
He has contributed six goals and two assists in 11 appearances across all competitions.
