Arsenal boost as Welbeck returns to team after 10-month absence

By Arsenal correspondent Tony Hughes

Danny Welbeck has been named in the Arsenal squad for the first time in 10 months.

The England international is in the matchday 18 to face Leicester in Sunday’s Premier League clash at Emirates Stadium after recovering from a knee injury.

Welbeck last played in Arsenal’s goal-less draw against Chelsea on 26 April last year.

Francis Coquelin is also named in the starting X1 against Claudio Ranieri’s table-toppers, his first league start since 21 November.

The midfield enforcer replaces Mathieu Flamini in the team as he partners Aaron Ramsey in central midfield.
