Arsenal confirmed line-up v Manchester United: Wenger makes two changes

By Dominic Toner

Arsenal have made two changes to their starting XI for the Premier League match against Manchester United on Sunday.

The Gunners host United at the Emirates Stadium and both sides need the three points to keep their top-four hopes alive.

Arsene Wenger has made two alterations to his side from the team that lost 2-0 against Tottenham in the league.

Gabriel and Oliver Giroud have been axed from the 2-0 Spurs defeat.

Meanwhile, youngster Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck have been recalled to the line-up.

Arsenal have announced their starting line-up on their official Twitter account.

Arsenal are in real danger of missing out on the Champions League places for the first team under Wenger and are nine points adrift, but do have two games in hand.

The north London club may need to win all five of their remaining fixtures to stand a chance and they come up against Jose Mourinho’s strong outfit at the weekend.

The two teams played out a 1-1 draw in the previous meeting this season at Old Trafford, when Olivier Giroud scored a dramatic 89th minute equaliser.

A draw would do neither sides any favours on Sunday as fifth-placed Manchester United are also chasing the top four, but do have the back-up of the Europa League.
