Arsenal could accept loan-to-buy Jakub Kiwior offer – sources

Jakub Kiwior is most likely to agree a loan exit from Arsenal in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Kiwior, 24, could push for a move away from Arsenal in the new year after a lack of recent first-team action.

Clubs in Italy are ready to offer the ex-Spezia defender a route to return to Serie A in the new year.

Juventus, Milan and Inter have all been linked with Kiwior while Spanish sides Villarreal and Sevilla are also monitoring his situation.

Sources say Arsenal would prefer to move the defender on permanently, but acknowledge that it will be a difficult task in the January window.

It is believed a loan-to-buy deal could be the most likely option – but will only be sanctioned by the Gunners if their squad is back to full fitness.

Interested Italian sides will not have the scope in their winter budgets to strike a costly permanent deal for the defender.

Arsenal could be forced to accept Kiwior loan offer

Out-of-action duo Riccardo Calafiori and Takehiro Tomiyasu are above Kiwior in Mikel Arteta’s pecking order.

The Poland international has played just seven times this term – with his only two starts coming in the League Cup against Bolton and Preston.

Kiwior joined in January 2023 and is under contract at the Emirates Stadium until June 2028.

He has made 45 senior appearances for the Gunners but just 26 have come as part of the starting lineup.
