Arsenal expected 4-3-3 v Basel: Walcott axed among four changes
By Emma Sanders
Aaron Ramsey could start in Arsenal’s Champions League clash against Basel on Tuesday evening after coming on as a substitute in Saturday’s Premier League victory over West Ham.
The Welshman has started just five games this season but he could replace Theo Walcott in the starting line-up for the European tie as Wenger looks set to rotate his squad.
Mohammed Elneny is expected to feature ahead of Granit Xhaka, who started on Saturday, while Alex Iwobi could replace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in attack and David Ospina is set to come in for Petr Cech to make four changes in total.
They are likely to be joined in the team by Gabriel and Nacho Monreal, who are expected to keep their places at left-back and right-back after Carl Jenkinson was left out of Saturday’s squad once again.
Petr Cech should make way for David Ospina because the Columbian has started the last five European ties including the victories against Ludogorets and Basel.

Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi are likely to line-up as the centre-back pairing, while Francis Coquelin could be joined by Elneny in midfield.
Mesut Ozil should retain his role as Arsenal’s number 10, while Ramsey, Iwobi and Alexis Sanchez complete the front line.
Sanchez is expected to get the nod ahead of Olivier Giroud once again after he produced a stunning display, scoring a hat-trick in the 5-1 thrashing over the Hammers.
In other Arsenal news, the club face a battle against Juventus for the signature of this midfielder.
