Arsenal expert issues emphatic verdict after Martin Odegaard dressing room reveal

Kevin Campbell has claimed the Arsenal dressing room “is coming together” after Martin Odegaard’s comments post-Man United.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker heaped praise on Mikel Arteta’s side for the way in which they performed at Old Trafford.

Arsenal lost 3-1 to Erik ten Hag’s side on Sunday (4 September).

Speaking to club media (4 September), club captain Odegaard revealed the dressing room was frustrated after the defeat.

The players are said to have felt like the game was there for the taking.

The Gunners remain top after the loss, one point ahead of Man City and Spurs.

When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on Odegaard’s comments, Campbell said: “This group is coming together.

“You can see that.

“The way they played at Old Trafford, you could see Mikel Arteta’s ideas. They are not scared to come to Old Trafford and take United on.

Arsenal

“Manchester United starting the game really well. Once they got a grip of that game, United never wrestled it away from them. Yes, they broke away and scored but Arsenal were always the dominant team.

“We didn’t get the points but sometimes you have to look beyond that. You have to look at the performance and go, ‘We are not far off.’ Let’s have it right, if Arsenal were clinical they would win that game all day long.”
