'Finish as poor as his hairline' – Arsenal fans slam Tottenham duo after displays v Germany
By Matt Farr
Tottenham duo Dele Alli and Eric Dier gave impressive displays for England during their 1-0 friendly defeat to Germany on Wednesday – but Arsenal fans were not convinced.
Alli was hailed as England’s best player on the night, showing immense hunger in the attacking third, and superb skill and ability.
Dier, meanwhile, looked comfortable back in a familiar defensive-midfield role, having been deployed largely as a centre-back for Tottenham this season.
However, rather unsurprisingly given the rivalry between the two clubs, Arsenal fans on Twitter did not rate the duo’s performances in particular high regard.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Funny how Dele Alli & Eric Dier 'go in hard' against Germany's C team & Hoddle on commentary thinks we're World Cup contenders

I rate Alli as a player, but he's irritating. Don't think Dier is great but then he plays for spurs so don't ever watch him

Arsenal fans were quick to pounce on a missed opportunity from Alli to give England the lead, when he fired a shot straight at Germany goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
His poor finish was a rare wasted attempt from the 20-year-old midfielder, who has starred in front of goal for Tottenham this season.
He has an impressive 17 goals from 39 appearances in all competitions, but Arsenal fans need little incentive to take a swipe at a rival player.
Former Arsenal man Lukas Podolski’s 49th international goal proved to be the difference between the two sides during their Dortmund friendly.
In other Tottenham news, Pochettino must break the bank to sign this international defender.
