Arsenal fans explode at ’embarrassing’ Trossard after what he did v Man United

Arsenal fans have been left fuming at Leandro Trossard after his performance in their Premier League clash v Man United at Old Trafford.

Mikel Arteta’s side fought to secure a 1-1 draw after Bruno Fernandes found the back of the net with a free kick to make it 1-0 at half-time.

The second half saw the Gunners pile on the pressure without creating an abundance of chances, before Declan Rice fired the ball home to equalise.

However, the attention of the travelling Arsenal fans was fixed firmly on the performance of Trossard and his role in the defeat.

It was the 30-year-old who gave away the free kick for Fernandes’ opener, while he was also wasteful in possession and failed to impact the game at the opposite end.

As a result, Arsenal fans have insisted he could be sold this summer, urging the club not to offer him a new deal and instead to bring in a fee for his signature.

Leandro Trossard could leave to join Saudi Pro League clubs

Come the end of the season, Trossard will have just 12 months remaining on his deal at the Emirates, leading to speculation about his future in Arteta’s side.

Football Insider revealed on 3 March that Arsenal could be open to offers for Trossard, who has attracted interest from Saudi Pro League sides.

Saudi clubs were keen on a move for the Belgium international last summer (2024) but Arsenal chose to keep him at the club.

Football Insider revealed in September that Al-Ittihad submitted a bid of around £30million after the close of the English transfer window.

Arsenal’s attacking options have been the source of plenty of scrutiny during the absence of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

The latter made his return off the bench v Man United, but Football Insider sources revealed Saka would be lucky to return for Arsenal before the end of the season.

Amid pressure on Trossard to fill in for his absent teammates, supporters have taken to social media to label him “atrocious” and “a liability”.
