Arsenal fans rage at ‘corruption’ after latest William Saliba footage analysed

Arsenal fans have been left furious with match-day official Rob Jones after he controversially sent William Saliba off during their clash against Bournemouth.

The Gunners were beaten 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium after battling through the majority of the game with 10 men after the 23-year-old was sent off in the 30th minute.

The decision came after Salbia pulled back Evanlison, and he was punished by VAR despite initially being awarded a yellow card.

Some supporters felt, after re-analysing the footage, that the decision was harsh due to the distance between the incident and the goal, believing it wasn’t a clear and obvious goalscoring opportunity.

The Gunners could not break down the Cherries throughout the rest of the game, with Mikel Arteta’s side dropping points in the title race as Ryan Christie and Justin Kluivert found the back of the net.

This was the first time Saliba had been sent off in his entire career and means he will miss Arsenal’s next match, which is against Liverpool.

Arsenal fans are furious with the red card decision

Supporters weren’t impressed by the decision that was made, which led to calls of corruption as they questioned if the right call was made.
