Here is a selection of the messages on Twitter:

Wenger is the longest serving manager in the Premier League but has faced criticism in recent years after failing to hit the heights of the early part of his managerial reign with Arsenal.

The 66-year-old has recently stated that he would like to manage the England national team one day, leading to speculation regarding his long-term future at Arsenal.

Wenger’s side have enjoyed a strong start to the season though, picking up 13 points from their first six games.

Wenger will be hoping his side can collect their fifth win in five games outings on Sunday against Burnley and guide his side up the table.

In other Arsenal news, Gunners fans were delighted on Twitter with winger Theo Walcott after his performance against Basel on Wednesday evening.
