Juventus have agreed a deal to sign Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain – and Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the deal.
Arsenal recently made an enquiry for the prolific striker, but were told they would need to match the £79million buy-out clause in order to secure his services.
However, it was reported on Saturday that the Serie A champions had agreed to match the £79million fee and that the player had already completed a medical on Friday with the club.
Gunners fans are hoping Arsene Wenger adds to the signings of Granit Xhaka, Takuma Asano and Rob Holding this summer, after 12 years without a Premier League trophy. They’ve now been strongly linked recently with a move for last season’s Premier League star Riyad Mahrez.
You might expect the Arsenal fans to be disgruntled at missing out on another world-class target, but opinion seems to be mixed. Here’s what they had to say:

70m is Suarez money. Not worth it for Higuain. He might score 40 goals & miss 5 sitters in a row that could win us the league. #Arsenal

Arsenal fans will still hope that Wenger signs another world-class striker, amid doubts that Giroud is prolific enough to deliver them the Premier League title.
The club had been close to signing Leicester’s Jamie Vardy earlier in the summer, but the deal fell through when the Englishman chose to sign a new contract with the league champions instead.
They have also been linked with Carlos Bacca, Karim Benzema and Alexandre Lacazette, but any further deal with a high-profile forward is yet to materialise.
In other Arsenal transfer news, Gunners defender Calum Chambers is a target for Watford.
