Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Perez transfer speculation
By Matt Farr
Arsenal fans have been left furious on Twitter after reports emerged that Lucas Perez was set to quit the club in the summer.
Perez’s agent, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, revealed to Calciomercato that the 28-year-old was planning to leave Arsenal just one year after joining the club, after becoming frustrated at his lack of first-team opportunities.
The Spaniard has appeared in 17 matches for Arsenal in all competitions this season, but has been handed just eight starts.
He has become a real fan-favourite at the Emirates following his £17million move, returning seven goals and six assists, and many fans feel that Perez should be playing more regularly for Arsenal.
However, he has often been overlooked by Arsene Wenger, and the latest claims that Perez is set to quit the club have left Arsenal fans furious with the Gunners boss.

Lucas Perez is a good player. I don't get how Theo gets more game time ahead of him!

Part of why I'd blame Wenger for our bad form is his insistence on benching Lucas Perez! Stupid manager!

On everyones current form, Lucas Perez should be one of the first names in the team. Dont understand the decision to not play him.

I actually think it's AW blind faith in Ozil that has contributed to Lucas Perez wanting to leave, Alexis can play no.10 with Lucas CF

Italian news outlet Il Messaggero, meanwhile, claim that AC Milan have expressed an interest in signing Perez this summer.
But a host of European clubs would likely jump at the chance to end Perez’s Arsenal nightmare, should the forward be made available at the end of the season.
Perez was unavailable for Arsenal’s recent defeats to Chelsea and Bayern Munich with a minor injury, but could return to the fray for their FA Cup meeting with Sutton on Monday.
Has previously performed well when called upon in the cup competitions, netting a a fine hat-trick against FC Basel in the Champions League group-stage, and a brace in the EFL Cup win over Nottingham Forest earlier in the campaign..
