Danny Welbeck was once again left on the Arsenal bench on Saturday – and the club’s supporters were furious with the decision on Twitter.

The Gunners host Hull in the Premier League and manager Arsene Wenger has made just one change to the side that lost 3-1 against Chelsea, with Kieran Gibbs replacing Nacho Monreal at left-back.

The north London club have recently lost back-to-back matches against Chelsea and Watford, meaning they have dropped down to fourth.

Arsenal are just one point behind fifth-placed Liverpool and need a victory against Hull to get their top four aspirations back on track.

However, the club’s fans voiced their frustration that Englishman Welbeck was once again omitted from the starting XI and feel that he deserved a place in the side.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Welbeck has recently returned from a long-term injury and is still waiting for his first Premier League start since his comeback.

The 26-year-old has made three cameo appearances so far in the top-flight and has shown glimpses of his quality.

He also scored twice and assisted another in a recent 5-0 demolition over Southampton in the FA Cup, but has not done enough to earn a league start yet.

In other Arsenal team news, the club’s supporters have reacted on Twitter to Olivier Giroud’s award snub.
