Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Aaron Ramsey display against Preston

By Amir Mir

Aaron Ramsey scored for Arsenal as they recorded a 2-1 win against Preston in the FA Cup – and fans on Twitter provided mixed views on his performance.

Arsene Wenger’s side conceded an early goal when poor defending allowed Callum Robinson to slot home after seven minutes.

The home side could have added to their goals at Deepdale as the Gunners produced a shaky defensive display.

After the break, midfielder Ramsey scored a brilliant goal from outside the box when Alex Iwobi laid off the ball for the Welshman who struck the left-footed shot with precision.

One fan stated that he hopes that goal will give Ramsey a much-needed confidence boost as he netted his first goal of the season.

Additionally, it was the first goal in 21 games for the 26-year-old who has come under stick from the Arsenal faithful for his performances in recent weeks.

This was shown when one fan stated that he has never hated or loved a player as as he does with Ramsey.

Equally another supporter felt that Ramsey’s overall play is still rubbish as other fans felt that he needs to be given less slack.
