Arsenal fans react on Twitter as club strike summer agreement with Bayern Munich
By Matt Farr
Arsenal are set to face off against Bayern Munich once more after an agreement was reached to meet in a friendly in the summer – and fans on Twitter are preparing for the worst.
The north London club were recently humiliated by Bayern Munich in the Champions League knockout round, with the German giants running out 10-2 aggregate winners over the two-legged tie.
But Arsenal must lock horns with their chief tormentors once again ahead of the 2017-18 season, as part of the International Champions Cup pre-season friendly tournament in the Far East.
The fixture was announced on Arsenal’s official Twitter account early on Tuesday morning, but fans – still reeling from the defeat to Bayern earlier this month – failed to see the funny side of their upcoming meeting.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Arsenal will face Bayern at the Shanghai Stadium on July 19, before a clash against Premier League rivals Chelsea on July 22 at the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Beijing.
Chelsea then face Bayern in a repeat of the 2011-12 Champions League final in Singapore on July 25.
Arsenal have been defeated by the German side on countless occasions in Europe during the last seven seasons, with their recent Champions League humiliation the third time they have lost to the Germans at that stage of the competition.
They were also put to the sword in a heavy 5-1 defeat to Bayern in the group-stage during the 2015-16 tournament.
In other Arsenal news, Jack Wilshere could be set to make a dramatic U-turn and could be at this club next season.
