Arsenal fans fume on Twitter as defender axed from squad v Leicester
By Will Butcher
Arsenal fans are fuming on Twitter after Arsene Wenger decided to leave Rob Holding out of the 18-man squad to face Premier League champions Leicester.
The Gunners play host to Leicester at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night, as Wenger looks for his side to fourth win in five games following Sunday’s FA Cup triumph over Man City.
Defender Holding had started the Gunners’ last two outings after Wenger opted to change from a 4-2-3-1 system into a formation that used three central defenders.
However, he has now been completely omitted from the squad as the north London giants make four changes to the side that saw off City in a side posted on their official Twitter account.

Coming in to the side to face Craig Shakespeare’s Foxes are Kieran Gibbs, Francis Coquelin, Hector Bellerin and Theo Walcott, while Holding, Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Olivier Giroud all drop out.
