Arsenal fans react on Twitter as Iwobi wreaks havoc against Swansea

By Matt Farr

Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi played a starring role in the Gunners 4-0 victory over Swansea on Saturday – and Arsenal fans sung his praises on Twitter.

The Gunners ran out comfortable winners at the Liberty Stadium to send them back into the top-four and remain in the hunt for the Premier League title.

Olivier Giroud had given Arsenal the lead just before half-time, before back-to-back second-half own goals piled further misery on a Swansea side faced with a relegation battle.

Iwobi was involved in both own-goals, first seeing a shot loop over Lukasz Fabianski via a big deflection from Jack Cork, before another Iwobi strike found its way into the back of the net, this time off the boot of Kyle Naughton.

Chile international Alexis Sanchez sealed the victory for the Gunners with just under 20 minutes to spare.

The 20-year-old Nigeria international was a constant threat to the Swansea defence, wreaking havoc in the final-third with his movement, dribbling and hunger.

Arsenal fans were thrilled with his performance, and following the game, took to social media to praise the young winger.

Iwobi has become a regular figure in Arsene Wenger’s first-team this season, and has started 20 of his 26 appearances.

With three goals and four assists in all competitions, Iwobi is continuing to show signs of improvement as a player, and the fans have really warmed to him.

He was unfortunate not have added two further goals to his tally for the season, with both going down as deflected own-goals.
