Arsenal fans react on Twitter after Liverpool move to the top of the table
By Emma Sanders
Arsenal dropped to fourth position in the Premier League table following Liverpool’s 6-1 demolition of Watford – and Gunners fans were left feeling frustrated on Twitter.
Arsene Wenger’s side could have been at the top of the table if they had recorded a victory against Tottenham in the north London derby but had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Spurs’ returning striker Harry Kane netted a second-half penalty to level the score at the Emirates after an own goal from Kevin Wimmer had given Arsenal a late first half lead.
After Manchester City dropped points against Middlesbrough during a 1-1 draw on Saturday, Arsenal fans were hoping to go top of the table but were left feeling frustrated at a missed opportunity.
By contrast, Liverpool were in sublime form as they emphatically brushed Watford aside to move to the top of the table.

Arsenal now currently sit in fourth place despite remaining unbeaten since their 4-3 defeat against the Merseysiders on the opening weekend of the 2016-17 campaign.
A goalless draw against Middlesbrough last month may have proven to be costly and fans were frustrated they were unable to get one over their rivals, Tottenham, as Liverpool moved to the top.
Here is a selection of the messages on Twitter:
Liverpool fans in my mentions. Arsenal are in meltdown apparently after a draw vs Tottenham.

6 goals scored by Liverpool, leading them to the top, even if Arsenal won, Liverpool would've had it, 3 goals difference.

Liverpool & Chelsea powering ahead whilst Arsenal and City are stuttering. Watching Arsenal is Groundhog Day every year – missing Carzola.
