Arsenal fans react on Twitter to stunning Draxler display for Germany

By Will Butcher

Arsenal fans are desperate on Twitter to see Julian Draxler move to the Emirates in the near future, after he scored for Germany against Northern Ireland on Tuesday night.

Joachim Low’s team secured a convincing 2018 World Cup qualifying victory against Michael O’Neill’s side, with Draxler opening the scoring in an easy 2-0 win.

Wolfsburg’s Draxler has been reportedly high on Arsene Wenger’s shortlist for the majority of the summer, as speculation continues to grow over his happiness at the Bundesliga outfit.

The former Schalke star was set up by Gunners star Mesut Ozil, who started Germany’s attacking move before Draxler swept home precise finish from 20 yards out.

Arsenal fans are desperate to see Draxler move to North London after seeing the goal, which would see him team up with the likes of Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi and ex-international Per Mertesacker.

Arsenal could look at signing the playmaker, who has developed a reputation of scoring goals from midfield as well as providing a creative spark that would fit right at home with Wenger’s side.

A move for the 26-time international would see Arsenal add another attacking midfielder to their ranks, with the likes of Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Alex Iwobi and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain already in their squad.

In other Arsenal news, Iwobi has revealed this Gunners star is always late to training.
