Arsenal fans have slaughtered William Saliba for his “garbage” performance against Porto on Wednesday evening (21 February).
The Gunners suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to the Portuguese giants after a wonder strike from Wenderson Galeno in the closing seconds of their Champions League last-16 clash.
Mikel Arteta’s side now have a hill to climb in the second leg at the Emirates next month, but supporters have taken aim at their French centre-back for his role in the defeat.
Saliba was widely blasted for making frequent mistakes in Arsenal’s first Champions League knock-out tie since 2017.

He lost possession 11 times, played just one accurate long ball, won only 33 per cent of his attempted ground duels and missed a huge chance to put his side ahead in the 35th minute by failing to convert a close-range header.
The 22-year-old has been a standout at the back for Arsenal this season, but fans are beginning to lose faith following a string of subpar performances.
In the wake of his latest “terrible” outing, supporters have taken to social media to hammer him, and some claimed it was his worst-ever performance for the Gunners.
