Arsenal fans taken aback by ‘huge’ Kai Havertz update

Arsenal fans have been left shocked that Kai Havertz could return from injury as soon as this weekend to face rivals Tottenham.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference before a trip to Wolves, manager Mikel Arteta said there was a “possibility” that Havertz could feature against Spurs.

The 26-year-old has missed the last two matches due to injury, and it was reported that the German striker could have been out for weeks on the sidelines.

Havertz returned to the Arsenal squad in January for the first time since August, meaning many were left worried by his latest injury setback.

Arsenal fans warn against ‘rushing Kai Havertz back’

Havertz contributed nine goals and three assists last season, and he had netted twice in four games before an injury left him out against Brentford.

With supporters still undecided over Viktor Gyokeres since his big-money move last summer, Arsenal fans have been left delighted that Havertz could return to the squad sooner than expected.

However, many fans do not want Arteta to rush Havertz back into action, with a crucial last couple of months of the season ahead.

Arsenal are still competing in all four competitions, and currently hold a four-point advantage over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Arsenal make Eberechi Eze transfer plan

Captain Martin Odegaard will also miss the trip to Wolves in midweek, meaning Eberechi Eze is expected to start in the number 10 position at Molinuex.

Eze was instrumental in Arsenal’s comfortable 4-0 win over Wigan last time out in the FA Cup, but the former Crystal Palace star has struggled to make an impact in north London.

The 27-year-old only has four goals and two assists in the Premier League this season, leading to suggestions that the Gunners could look to offload the midfielder after only one season at the club.

Arsenal though have no plans to sell Eze in the summer transfer window, with Arteta still feeling he can get the best out of the England international.

Eze will hope that the match against Spurs will rediscover his best form having netted a hat-trick against them in the reverse fixture at Emirates Stadium.
