Arsenal fans on Twitter urge club to build future around this player (not Sanchez or Ozil)
By Matt Farr
Arsenal are likely to undergo a major shake up of the first-team squad in the summer – and fans on Twitter want the new-look side to be built around one man in particular.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has thrived since being thrust into a central midfield role in recent weeks, and despite the Arsenal horror show in the 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday, fans were genuinely pleased with his display.
With Arsene Wenger under mounting pressure to walk away from his post at the end of the season, Arsenal are expected to make wholesale changes to their line-up ahead of next season.
And fans on Twitter insist that their new side should be built around Oxlade-Chamberlain in the midfield, as opposed to contract rebels Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Think we need to look to a future without Cazorla. He's brilliant but can't build around him going forward. Ox at CM must stick

Might as well build the team around Ox. Only one who seems to give a damn

If the majority of Arsenal fans had their way in the summer, the likes of Francis Coquelin, Granit Xhaka and Alex Iwobi would be nowhere near the first team.
Xhaka has failed to live up to his price tag of over £30million, while Coquelin has been poor in his role as a ball-winning midfielder of late.
Fans would much prefer to see Oxlade-Chamberlain, 23, pulling the strings in the midfield in future, alongside either a new addition or the experienced Santi Cazorla – who is currently out with injury.
The England international has made 35 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring six goals and supplying seven assists.
In other Arsenal news, Wenger has escaped a ban following his comments on the refereeing display against Bayern.
