‘Arsenal fans will be concerned’ as £255m Tottenham news confirmed

Arsenal fans will be concerned Tottenham are continuing to outperform them commercially after their latest financial results have been revealed.

That is the view of finance expert Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider Spurs’ income from their new stadium distorts their numbers as they continue to cash in on opportunities away from football.

Deloitte’s 2025 Money League revealed Arsenal generated a club-record revenue of £615million in 2023-24 – a 32 per cent rise on the previous year’s £465million.

Tottenham’s revenue fell from £550million in 2022-23 to £528million last season, but their commercial income increased from £228million to £255million.

That remains significantly higher than Arsenal’s figures after their commercial revenue grew from £171million to £222million.

But matchday income at the Emirates last season reached £132million, which is £26million more than Tottenham’s £106million.

Arsenal recorded solid figures after revenue boost

Borson insisted Arsenal have some room to grow commercially as they look to continue increasing their revenues.

“They are a very solid set of figures from Arsenal,” Borson told Football Insider.

“They did more than I would have expected on matchday. Their gross revenue for the first time was over £600million, which was a big step up.

“They finally seem to have got themselves in order on the commercial side.

“But they are not the whole way there because you have the perverse situation where Spurs are generating more commercially than Arsenal, which will cause some Arsenal fans some concern.

“It’s largely I think to do with the stadium usage, which slightly distorts the numbers.

“But at the moment, Tottenham are generating more than £250million, which is higher than Chelsea and Arsenal, who are both around £220million.

“There is some room to grow commercially for Arsenal, but it’s a solid set of results.”
