Arsenal: Gabriel Jesus and Ben White to be part of summer fire sale as Andrea Berta plan in action

Arsenal are set to try and offload both striker Gabriel Jesus and defender Ben White in a bid to recoup funds this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Sporting director Andrea Berta is set to oversee a fire sale after a big spend at the Emirates Stadium last summer, and the duo are among several fringe players who are likely to be shown the door.

The Gunners are expecting interest in the pair ahead of next season, and sources say that the players themselves may also be keen to move on from North London in search of more regular football.

Berta and Co. are hoping to avoid the sales of any key figures within the squad, and as a result, they are targeting out-of-favour stars as the biggest candidates to be sold.

Arsenal’s summer sale plans will then leave the door open for further additions, and both White and Jesus are set to become victims of that plan.

Gunners to find Premier League suitors for Ben White and Gabriel Jesus

Mikel Arteta has a hugely deep squad available to him, which is highlighted by the fact that White and Jesus have managed just seven starts between them in the Premier League so far this season.

The experienced pair have both been regular features of top-flight teams in recent years, and the Gunners’ hierarchy are in no doubt that there will be no shortage of potential suitors for them this summer.

There is almost certain to be significant interest from elsewhere in the Premier League in the duo, as both have been linked with moves away in recent transfer windows.

Football Insider revealed last week that Everton are still keen to sign White after previously making an attempt for to land him back in January.

The likes of the Toffees and West Ham were also briefly linked for Jesus last summer, with strikers always a hot commodity at the top level.

Arsenal are confident of being able to offload both players as part of their clearout ahead of next season, and Berta’s regeneration of the squad is unlikely to stop at just those two.

Ex-Premier League chief expects Myles Lewis-Skelly exit at Arsenal

Former Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness recently told Football Insider that he also expects Myles Lewis-Skelly to be part of the Arsenal clearout this summer.

The Scottish businessmen outlined that the Gunners will potentially have a financial problem on their hands if they do not trim down their squad a little ahead of next term.

He identified the young left-back as another likely candidate to head out of the door at the end of the campaign, as he has been unable to earn regular gametime this term.

Wyness suggested that Arsenal are hoping to be left with a relatively small squad of supremely talented players, and that could result in difficult decisions regarding the likes of Lewis-Skelly.
