Arsenal handed 'huge' boost as 'sensational' Wilshere pictures emerge - pundit
Jack Wilshere returning to train with Arsenal is a “win-win” situation, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Man City and England defender insisted Wilshere’s presence at training will be “hugely beneficial” to the younger members of the squad.
The midfielder, who made 198 appearances for Arsenal in his time at the club, returned to London Colney to train with the squad this week to help with his fitness and work on his coaching badges.
He has been without a club since leaving Bournemouth at the end of last season.
Mikel Arteta told Arsenal’s website the club still “love” Wilshere and his presence can only benefit the younger members of his squad.
“We’ve seen senior players take up coaching roles, player-coach roles at the end of their careers,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“You’ve got that experience, where you can make the right decisions at the right time on the pitch. Training for those younger players, you can offer those nuggets of advice at the right time, watch him in training.
“As long as his attitude is right, which I’m sure it will be, just watch the positions he takes up, the passes that he makes, all these types of things are hugely beneficial to younger players in their development.
“It’s a win-win for everybody. He was sensational at Arsenal, has great links to the club but obviously had some horrific injuries during his career there.
“He gets the opportunity to get some fitness, to train on a daily basis and Arsenal get the benefits of him helping the younger lads.”
