‘Arsenal handed significant Benjamin Sesko boost with cut-price deal on the table’
Arsenal’s search for a striker has been boosted by a new transfer update surrounding target Benjamin Sesko.
The Gunners are keen to sign a striker this summer with Sesko and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres there top two targets.
No breakthrough for either player has yet been reached, and manager Mikel Arteta has instead prioritised other signings in the past weeks.
Arteta has reached an agreement to sign Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard, and Kepa looks set to sign from Chelsea.
Long-term target Martin Zubimendi’s deal from Real Sociedad is also set to be completed meaning Arteta can now refocus on his striker search.

Sesko price cut as Arteta seeks deal
Arteta now has more reason to continue his pursuit of Sesko as Bild report that the asking price for the striker from RB Leipzig has reduced to just under £60million.
They state the German club were initially asking for between £68m and £85m, but their stance has now changed amid reaction from the Gunners to then explore alternative targets.
The 22-year-old is under contract at Leipzig until 2029, but is apparently open to moving to the Premier League.
The Slovenian international hit 21 goals in all competitions last season as Leipzig finished seventh in the Bundesliga.

Gunners search could be coming to an end
Football Insider verdict
The news that Leipzig have rumoured to lower their asking price of Sesko will be excellent news for Arteta.
The Spaniard needs to tie down a striker, preferably before pre-season begins, and this news will encourage supporters that a deal could be close.
Fans have become slightly confused in the past week as to why the club were agreeing deals for players like Norgaard, but not opening the chequebook for a striker.
A proven goal scorer is a must for Arsenal this summer after missing out on the past three Premier League titles due to a lack of ruthlessness in-front of goal.
Gyokeres, and even Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins, remains on Arsenal’s radar but a deal now looks more likely for Sesko.
Sesko has proven himself in the Bundesliga and the step up to the Premier League will be a challenge, but at 22 the striker has the potential to become Arsenal’s marksman for years to come.
