Arsenal idol reveals Aubameyang has been a serial discipline offender after sharing what he 'knows'
Kevin Campbell has applauded Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta for stripping Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of the captaincy.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the well connected ex-Gunners star said he knows “there has been more instances” of misconduct from the striker aside from last week and the north London derby.
On Tuesday, a statement confirmed Aubameyang will no longer be club captain and will not be considered for selection against West Ham.
It comes after the striker returned late from an authorised trip abroad last week.
Aubameyang also breached club discipline in March which led to him being benched for the north London derby.
When asked by Football Insider for his reaction to the news, Campbell, who is well connected at Arsenal and his son Tyrese plays for Stoke City, said: “Look, I think Aubameyang was questioned from the start.

“He got the captaincy because he is the star man who shot Arsenal to the FA Cup. People thought he was going to lead by example with his performances on the pitch.
“But the example Aubameyang has set for the young players at Arsenal has not been right. I know there has been more instances but the two glaring ones are the north London derby and the one other day, which was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
“He is the captain. He is not just a player, he is the man. At the end of the day, he should be setting the standards, not breaking the rules. It is not right.
“The football club have made the right move. If there was ever an opportunity to take the armband off him it was now.”
