Arsenal in hunt to sign Jamal Musiala – report

Arsenal are reportedly one of four clubs willing to go to ‘war’ for Jamal Musiala’s signature next summer.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Arsenal will face competition from Man City, Real Madrid, and Barcelona in the race to sign the 21-year-old.

Football Insider revealed (September 9) that Man City are interested in signing both Musiala and Germany teammate Florian Wirtz after receiving £160million in player sales over the summer.

The Bavarian club, however, are set to open contract talks with the attacking midfielder as they seek to tie him down for the long term.

Musiala’s current contract with the German giants ends in June 2026, but he has refused to rule out a move, telling Welt Am Sonntag that he’s “not thinking about where I will be in five years”.

Arsenal linked with Jamal Musiala deal

Musiala is set to return to Bayern after starring for Germany in their UEFA Nations League games against Hungary and the Netherlands.

The attacking midfielder won the Player of the Match award for his performance in their 5-0 win over Hungary, scoring once and providing three assists.

Arsenal have started this season as they ended the last, winning two and drawing one in their opening three Premier League games.

They will, however, be without captain Martin Odegaard after the central midfielder was forced off in Norway’s 2-1 win over Austria with an ankle injury.
