‘Arsenal wonderkid Max Dowman could save club millions amid Morgan Rogers news’
Arsenal academy star Max Dowman could help the North Londoners avoid hefty fees in the summer transfer market.
Mikel Arteta has a huge task on his hand as he looks to close the gap between the Gunners and Premier League champions Liverpool.
Arsenal are considering signing Viktor Gyokeres as they aim to add more firepower to their ranks to help bring silverware to the Emirates Stadium.
Arteta could also be keen on Morgan Rogers, who has excelled as an attacking midfielder for Aston Villa this season, notching 14 goals and 13 assists across all competitions.

Dowman could make Premier League debut next season as Arsenal eye Rogers and Rodrygo
Alongside their interest in Rogers, Arsenal could sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid, as Xabi Alonso looks to shape his own squad in the Spanish capital.
But according to The Times [5 June], 15-year-old attacking midfielder Max Dowman is set to go on the Gunners’ pre-season tour this summer, and could make his Premier League debut in August.
The emergence of Dowman could mean that Arteta does not need to sign either Rogers or Rodrygo, as the teenager could be ready to have a positive impact at the Emirates Stadium.
Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly’s performances this season have shown that the North Londoners can trust their academy products with first-team duties.

Arsenal’s top transfer priority is a striker
While Dowman’s presence could prevent the North Londoners from having to buy an attacking midfielder or winger, such as Rogers or Rodrygo, Arsenal are prioritising signing a striker this summer.
Premier League table (Top two) | Games played | Goal difference | Points |
1 Liverpool | 38 | 45 | 84 |
2 Arsenal | 38 | 35 | 74 |
That news will likely please the Emirates Stadium faithful, who are currently subject to seeing title rivals Manchester City and Liverpool benefit from the services of Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah, respectively.
The Gunners must acquire a similarly prolific striker this summer, as they look to beat both reigning champions Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s men to Premier League glory next term.
Perhaps Gyokeres could be the answer to Arteta’s problems, having scored 54 goals and created 17 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions for Sporting this season.
Arsenal have also eyed Benjamin Sesko, who has notched an impressive return of 21 goals and six assists in 45 outings for Leipzig this season.
Having excelled in the Bundesliga, Sesko could prove to be a real asset for the Gunners if he can successfully adjust to the demands of the Premier League.
