‘Arsenal miss out on £34m windfall as Fabio Vieira exit update emerges’
Arsenal are facing a summer transfer dilemma as they look to offload Fabio Vieira.
The Portuguese star moved to north London in the summer of 2022 for a fee worth £34million and went on to make 49 appearances for the Premier League club.
Unfortunately the creative midfield was unable to nail down a starting spot under Mikel Arteta and was loaned back to former club Porto in last summer on a season-long loan.
With just the Club World Cup left to compete in before he returns to the Emirates, Arsenal are keen to make a plan for what is next for the 25-year-old, but doing so is proving far from straightforward.

Arsenal and Vieira will need to look elsewhere for a buyer
Vieira’s time at Arsenal is all-but over, but he won’t be joining Porto on a permanent basis.
Reports from The Sun (June 12) claim that the Portuguese side would love to sign the midfielder following his loan spell with the club in 2024/25, however they’re simply not in a position to afford him.
The Gunners are demanding a fee close to that which they paid for him – £34million – with suggestions that they’d need to be convinced to let him leave for less than that.
Arsenal are also holding out for a permanent move for Vieira, rather than a second-straight loan spell.
The player’s wages are also thought to be out of Porto’s range with Vieira reluctant to take a pay cut from his lucrative north London contract.

Arsenal need funds to sign an elite forward
The Gunners will be desperate to sell Vieira – not just to trim the fat on their squad, but also to raise some valuable money.
Football Insider exclusively revealed that Arsenal are in advanced negotiations with Benjamin Sesko as thet search for a striker.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are keeping a close eye on Morgan Rogers’ situation at Aston Villa amid suggestions they may be forced to cash in on key players this summer.
Both deals will cost significant sums and that means that some players will need to leave.
At 25, Vieira is approaching his prime years and needs to be playing regularly and so for everyone’s sake, a summer move seems to be the best solution.
The question will be how low are Arsenal willing to go to get a deal done.
