
Arsenal player ratings v Everton: Attacking pair 4/10

Football Insider rates the Arsenal players after their 2-1 defeat against Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League.
Petr Cech 6 – Was fairly quiet despite Everton’s possession and left helpless by his defence for both of Arsenal’s goals.
Hector Bellerin 6 -The defender looked composed on his return from injury and tried to support the attack, but was kept busy by an impressive Everton side.
Gabriel 6 – Looked assured in the defence as he replaced the injured Shkodran Mustafi and competed against Romelu Lukaku and Enner Valencia.
Laurent Koscielny 8 – Showed why he is one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League with a good battle against Romelu Lukaku. Made several strong tackles and interceptions.
Nacho Monreal 6 – Continues to be an unsung member of the team and did his work steadily.
Francis Coquelin 6 – The combative midfielder was kept busy during the match and is Arsene Wenger’s first-choice defensive midfielder.
Granit Xhaka – The Swiss midfielder is certainly settling at Arsenal and showcased his varied range of passing.
Theo Walcott 4 – Was unable to have a big impact on the game and controlled well by Leighton Baines.
Mesut Ozil 6 – Missed a great opportunity to score from the outside the box, but was leaning back and blazed his shot over the bar.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 4 – The winger failed to get involved in the Arsenal attacking play and was replaced by Olivier Giroud.
Alexis Sanchez 7 – Continued his impressive goalscoring form this season with a powerful free-kick which deflected in, but was unable to recreate his best form.
