
Arsenal rising star spotted in Blackburn kit ahead of potential transfer
Arsenal starlet Osman Kamara has scored while on trial with Blackburn Rovers’ under-21 side ahead of a potential move away from North London.
Mikel Arteta has promoted youth throughout his time as Arsenal manager, and that has not changed this season despite their title charge.
Max Dowman has broken into Arsenal’s senior team at just 15 years old, joining the likes of Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly as youngsters who have bridged the gap from the academy in recent seasons.
19-year-old Kamara has regularly trained with Arteta’s side over the last few years, after joining the club in 2014 and signing his first professional contract in 2024.
He is yet to feature for the Gunners’ first-team as yet, however, and could soon move up north in search of a first taste of senior football.
Kamara was seen scoring on trial at Blackburn vs Birmingham under-21s
Kamara recently represented Sierra Leone’s under-20s at international level, while he has registered two goals and assists each in nine appearances for Arsenal’s under-21 side this season.
The 19-year-old, who is usually deployed on the left flank, could now leave North London after he was reportedly spotted playing for Blackburn‘s youth team in a Premier League 2 clash against Birmingham.
Club insider RoversXtra took to X to reveal Kamara as the trialist for the game, after he scored in the 49th minute during their comprehensive 5-0 win.
In an interview last February, the winger described his playing style as “direct, fast and skilful” as well as “unpredictable” and “strong in one vs one situations.”
Who else is expected to leave Arsenal this month?
Kamara has not officially left Arsenal to join Blackburn yet, but he could well sign terms at Ewood Park soon with a view to becoming a first-team player in the Championship soon.
His youth teammate Nwaneri recently sealed a loan move to Marseille, and several other Gunners stars on the fringe of their first-team could also make an exit in the next week.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is expected to join Ajax on loan soon as his spell at Nottingham Forest ends early, while young defender Maldini Kacurri has been recalled from Morecambe and is set to move on once more.
