Arsenal star Hector Bellerin is among a list of five names interesting Barcelona, according to a report.
Spanish publication Marca has claimed that the 21-year-old is being targeted by the Spanish giants alongside Valencia’s Joao Cancelo, Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich, Shakhtar Donetsk’s Darijo Srna and Juventus’ Stephan Lichtsteiner.
This could come as good news to the Gunners, as Barcelona may not go all out to sign the Spain international if they have other names in mind.
The report states that current Barca right-back Alex Vidal’s future at the club is up in the air after making just 16 appearances for the side since his £13million move in the summer of 2015.
As a result, the club’s sporting director Robert Fernandez has been evaluating alternatives with the five names reportedly piquing his interest.
Bellerin, who grew up in Barcelona and stayed within the academy for eight years before completing a move to Arsenal in 2011 could have a possible draw back to his hometown.
However, the Gunners are keen to keep their star man and Goal have reported that the quick footed full-back is in line for a new bumper deal at the club.
In other Arsenal transfer news, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are considering a move for Mesut Ozil.
