Arsenal star Ben White expected to miss out after early team news pre-Tottenham - expert
Arsenal defender Ben White will not start against Tottenham with Rob Holding set to keep his place in the starting XI.
That is the view of former Gunners and Everton striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the selection dilemma facing Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday night with a win enough to secure Champions League football for next season.
Speaking to club media (11 May), Arteta revealed Ben White could return for the Premier League clash but remains “a doubt.”
The centre-half has not featured since the win over Man United (23 April) because of a hamstring injury.
Campbell believes Holding, who has impressed in White’s absence, should retain his place in the starting XI even if White passes a late fitness test.

“They key for me is Holding’s form,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs. “He has been brilliant since he has come in.
“Would you change it if you are Mikel Arteta?
“Ben White has had a really good season but it would be a risk to bring him into a game like this with a hamstring injury. I don’t think Arsenal can afford to take risks.
“Holding and Gabriel [Magalhaes] will keep their places. I also think Cedric [Soares] and [Takehiro] Tomiyasu start. It will be the same back four, I’m pretty sure.
“I think Ben White will be on the bench.”
