Arsenal star could copy Jack Grealish transfer after Sky reveal – pundit
Arsenal attacker Bukayo Saka “can only wait so long” to play in the Champions League, according to Noel Whelan.
The former Premier League striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, drew comparisons to Jack Grealish’s move to Manchester City when discussing Saka’s future.
Speaking to Sky Sports (10 February), the Gunners winger revealed he “dreams” of playing in the Champions League.

It comes after ESPN revealed (3 February) Liverpool and Man City are tracking Saka in case Mikel Arteta’s side fail to finish in the top four.
His contract at the Emirates runs until the summer of 2024.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Russell Edge if Saka needed to leave Arsenal to realise his dream, Whelan said:
“Saka is a player who is not just performing for his club, but is performing for his country. It’s natural that he aspires to be playing in the Champions League.
“His experience at the Euros will make him want to play at the highest level possible. When he’s with England he’s next to players like [Phil] Foden who are young and playing in the Champions League.

“Arteta is working towards this. Everything he is doing is paying dividends but it needs to happen soon.
“If they don’t qualify for the Champions League leaving will cross Saka’s mind. Like Jack Grealish at Villa, you can only wait so long to play in those top competitions.”
