Arsenal sensation Alexis Sanchez could be playing for Manchester City in as little as one week, according to a report.
The Independent report that the Gunners have softened their stance on the £35m fee, and Sanchez, who is out of contract in six months’ time, could be a City player in one week.
It is reported that Manchester City were going to wait, and sign the Chilean international on a free transfer in the summer, but the injury to Gabriel Jesus has forced their hand.
The transfer debacle has been a constant black cloud around Arsenal, as the Independent claim that some Gunners’ players have been annoyed with Sanchez’s attitude.
Although Wenger still insists there is no fracture in the dressing room.
Football Insider verdict:
Alexis Sanchez’ talent is undeniable. He is one of the best players in World fooabll at the moment, so it is no surprise that Arsenal were desperate to get as much money possible for the soon-to-be out of contract forward. Sanchez would strengthen the already frighteningly good City attack, and act as cover whilst Gabriel Jesus recovers. If winning silverware is all that is important for the Chilean international, it will not take time for that to happen at City, as the Premier League is all but wrapped up.
