‘Arsenal star who’s played a lot of games recently to be let go by Arteta’
Mikel Arteta will be happy to let Jakub Kiwior leave Arsenal this summer despite his recent increase in game-time.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider that Kiwior is a player the Gunners can upgrade on in the transfer window.
Gabriel Magalhaes’ season-ending injury opened up a spot for Kiwior to start each of Arsenal’s last nine matches in central defence, but the Poland international’s future still isn’t secure at the Emirates.
Kiwior has been solid alongside the transfer-linked William Saliba amid Arsenal’s inconsistent end-of-season form, but Robinson told Football Insider that the Gunners must be on the hunt for better quality.
Arsenal are expected to sanction several incomings and outgoings in the summer window to keep themselves level with Premier League PSR and FFP rules, and Kiwior could be one player who moves on.

Arteta to push Jakob Kiwior towards Arsenal exit door
Former Man United scout Mick Brown told Football Insider on Thursday (8 May) that Kiwior still wants to leave Arsenal despite his recent boost in game-time, and it’s doubtful the Gunners will stand in his way.
Speaking on the latest Inside Track podcast, Robinson was in agreement that Kiwior could be on the outer in North London this summer, and argued Arsenal do need better if they’re to progress next term.
“I think he’ll be part of the rebuild; and think he’ll be one that Mikel Arteta is quite happy to let go in all honesty”, Robinson told Football Insider.
“I think there’s going to be some player incomings and outgoings like everyone else too, in line with the FFP and PSR, and he’s one that Arsenal could move on.
“Yes, he’s played recently, he’s played a lot of games, but I think you look at the level Arsenal want to be at, and look at the quality they’re going to be at, you’ve got to sign better than what you’ve got to achieve more than you’ve achieved already.”

Arteta under pressure to be fourth-time lucky at Arsenal
Although Real Madrid are likely to heighten their interest in Saliba this summer, he and Gabriel remain the gold-standard of Premier League centre-halves, and their places in Arteta‘s starting XI are undisputed.
Arsenal’s two failed Premier League title chases and a Champions League semi-final exit in the last three seasons have left Arteta under more pressure than ever to succeed once the 2056–26 season begins.
As a result, the Gunners boss and sporting director Andrea Berta will be hopeful the summer transfer window goes entirely to plan, and if Kiwior’s sale gives them more wriggle room to sign their top targets, expect his departure to come to pass.
