Arsenal target deadline-day Joe Dodoo deal

Arsenal are trying to secure the deadline day signing of Leicester sensation Joe Dodoo, Football Insider sources understand.

The Gunners have tabled a bid for the 20-year-old as they work on a deal to sign him before Tuesday’s 6pm transfer window cut-off.
Football Insider revealed on Monday that Arsenal had targeted Dodoo and were in negotiations with Leicester.
Arsene Wenger wants ta permanent Dodoo deal, while Leicester are demanding that he is loaned back to Claudio Ranieri’s team for the rest of the season.
He is regarded by Wenger as one for the future rather than a player who could make an immediate impact in the first-team squad.
But the Gunners manager wants Dodoo to be integrated into Arsenal’s set-up rather than return on loan to Leicester.
Dodoo shot to prominence with an astonishing debut for Leicester in the Captial One Cup last Wednesday, scoring a hat-trick in his side’s 4-1 win over Bury.
The 20-year-old then made his Premier League debut against Bournemouth at the weekend, replacing Marc Albrighton for the last 19 minutes of the match, which finished 1-1.

The Leicester academy graduate, who can play as a centre-forward or on the flanks, was being monitored by Arsenal even before the sensational start to his senior career.
